Currently undergoing training to become an Area Search dog with Bakersfield Search and Rescue Team. (Oct. 2025)
- Area search K9s are trained to cover large outdoor spaces to locate missing persons by scent—whether they’re lost hikers, children, or vulnerable individuals.
- These amazing dogs work off leash, using their noses to pick up human scent and alert their handlers.
It's a vital job, and they say River is already showing so much promise!
